Back to School!

Can I Carry You?

© Brad Anderson
I guess that I can hold you
one more time before you grow.
And tell you that I love you
so that you will always know.
Please let me tie your shoe again.
One day you'll tie your own.
And when you think back to this time
I hope it's love I've shown..................

Today was a little  lot bit hard for me--they didn't want/need me to walk them into school--they have grown so much--and I am so proud of them--but why did they have to grow so fast!!!

Chase starts 4th grade today--WOW that happened way way too fast!
Jimmy starts 2nd grade today--he has grown up a lot this summer--not just physically but mentally/emotionally too.
Joe--started TEACHING 6th grade this year--what a whirlwind this last year has been for all of us!
Me--what do I do with myself now--I have dreams--but I am not sure I am brave enough to start them!

I LOVE MY FAMILY!

for the record I cried for a solid 30 minutes before I got up this morning--I will miss these guys--and they both gave me kisses BEFORE we left the house this morning!

Big News!!

My Baby learned how to ride his bike today!! STOP growing up!!  We also measured how tall he is yesterday--4 foot 6 inches--I know he is still only 7 but he seems to be growing up way WAY too fast!

Wow

My goodness am I a slacker or what--I need to apologize to some very important people in my life whom I had promised to keep this old thing updated--I truly am sorry and will try to be better!--

Life has been so very busy lately--the boys started back in public school in January and I feel like we have been running in over drive ever since!  They are both doing great!! It was a very hard decision for me to put them back in school but ultimately it was the very best thing for them both--they have magnificent teachers who love them to pieces and are doing such a wonderful job.

Chase is in 3rd grade and LOVES school!! He is still not very social with the kids--but loves learning and chatting with the adults--He is doing so well--in fact they pulled him out of Special Ed because he is above grade level academically!!  I am so very proud of him--look how far he has come in 5 years! Never could have imagined how far!!

Jimmy is the life of the party--shocking I know--he is doing well in school--still struggling a bit with his behavior--but ultimately is a really good kid! He loves his teacher and is quite the charmer amongst all the 1st grade girls--he doesn't like me to tease him but he has quite the following! He is funny--brilliant and just has ever so much energy!!

Joe is enjoying his new job--and is hoping to be accepted into a masters program in the fall--we are all enjoying having him around more and though it is not the easiest thing in life to literally start over we are glad for the oppurtunity!

We are very excited for spring and summer and plan to spend as much time as possible hiking and camping this summer--oh how we have missed the mountains!

As for pictures--my poor camera is broken--I hope to have it fixed soon!!
